Transmitter Park, Brooklyn

Manhattan view from Brooklyn
Great views of Manhattan, but how the heck did this little patch cost $12 million and take two years to open? Oh wait, the government was in charge – say no more.

My father, stepmother, and I were lucky to stumble upon the park after dinner at the superb Karczma in Greenpoint. We then got the crazy cool East River Ferry back to Manhattan and walked downtown to my place from 34th Street. My dad said this was his favorite part of their trip, which had a lot of highlights. Thanks, BK!
